Creator Agreement & terms
Last updated: 2026-10-07 · Applies to everyone who publishes a series on DramaNest.
1. Accepting these terms
When you upload a series you tick the rights declaration on the Upload page and accept this agreement. If you publish on behalf of a company, you promise that you are authorised to bind that company. If you do not accept these terms, do not upload.
2. You keep your copyright — we get a licence
You keep all intellectual property rights in your videos, artwork, text and other material you upload (your "Content"). By publishing on DramaNest you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sub-licensable licence to host, stream, display, distribute, promote and monetise your Content on DramaNest and its apps. This licence lets us show your Content, feature it on the homepage, include it in feeds and search, and collect payment for it. It lasts for as long as your Content is on the platform. You can stop publishing with us at any time (see section 8).
3. Originality — what you must guarantee
You promise that your Content is 100% original or fully licensed to you, and that:
- you own the copyright in everything you upload, or you hold written permission (a licence) from the rights holder to distribute it here;
- your Content does not copy or re-upload anyone else's drama, film, TV episode, clips or audio;
- any music, sound effects or footage you use is licensed, royalty-free or created by you;
- your Content does not infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy or publicity rights.
You are responsible for your Content. If a third party claims your Content infringes their rights, you — not DramaNest — are responsible for that claim and any resulting liability.
4. How you earn
Creators on DramaNest can earn in two ways. Current rates are shown in your creator dashboard and may change with notice.
4.1 Membership revenue share
Each month, 40% of membership revenue goes into a creator pool. That pool is split between creators in proportion to how much watch time their series earned that month. A series that gets more minutes watched earns a larger share.
4.2 Tips
Fans can send your series tips. You keep 60% of every tip and DramaNest keeps 40% to cover payment fees and platform costs. Tips are only enabled for your series once you reach 1,000 followers. Tip payments are collected through DramaNest's own payment accounts and settled to you as described below.
5. Payouts
- You must reach a US$20 minimum balance before a payout is made.
- Before your first payout you must submit your payout details (payment account and, where required, identity documents) from your account.
- Payouts are made by DramaNest's operator on a manual schedule. Money is held in DramaNest's payment accounts until it is settled to you.
- We may deduct from your balance: refunds, payment chargebacks, and any amounts we lose because your Content infringed someone's rights.
- You are responsible for any taxes on the money you receive.
6. Content standards
Your Content must not be illegal, hateful, sexually explicit involving minors, or depict real violence for gratification. DramaNest is a platform for AI-generated and original short dramas. If your Content is AI-generated you must say so where asked, in line with our AI disclosure.
7. Takedowns and repeat infringers
We may remove your Content at any time if we believe it breaches these terms or infringes someone's rights. Accounts that receive three valid copyright takedowns lose upload privileges permanently. This mirrors our copyright policy.
8. Ending this agreement
You may stop publishing and ask us to remove your Content at any time. We will remove it within a reasonable period. We may end this agreement and remove your Content if you breach these terms. Removing your Content does not remove the licence you already granted for the time it was live.
9. Our liability
DramaNest is provided "as is". To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for lost earnings, loss of data or indirect damages arising from your use of the platform. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Material changes will be posted here with an updated date. Continuing to publish after a change means you accept the updated terms.
